He walked into the meeting and declared, “I don’t have time to support the safety program – don’t we have people for that!”. His plate was full of meetings with the board and he had to pull together the strategic plans for the upcoming year. There was not time on his schedule to attend the safety committee meeting that afternoon. The committee was discussing their annual plan and developing teams. The list of goals included long and short term objectives and the author has been with the organization for 4 months.
